Manchester City's Savinho and Omar Marmoush are nearing a transfer to Tottenham, with the club set to make a significant profit on the pair. Enzo Maresca has revealed that Savinho made clear his desire to leave Manchester City on “day one” of his tenure, while Marmoush has not asked to depart.

What happened?

Savinho signed for the City Football Group in the summer of 2022 for €40m (£30.8m), and his prospective sale for £85m represents a near £55m profit for City’s owners. Marmoush, meanwhile, was bought in January 2025 from Eintracht Frankfurt for about £59m.

Why it matters for Manchester City

The sales would take Tottenham's investment in Roberto De Zerbi’s squad this summer to £387m, and would see Manchester City make a significant profit on the pair. As of the final 2025 table, Manchester City sits 2nd in the Premier League, with 64 points from 31 games, and a recent form of WDDWW.

What comes next?

Manchester City's next fixture is against Fulham on February 6, 2027, and they will be looking to build on their strong finish to the 2025 season, as they currently sit 6 points behind leaders Arsenal in the title race, with 63 goals scored and 28 conceded, giving them a goal difference of +35.
