Manchester City have launched their third kit for the 2026-27 season, a design created by a lifelong fan using artificial intelligence. The club and kit manufacturer Puma revealed the jersey on Thursday, completing their collection for the new campaign.

The design process used Puma's AI Creator tool, which turns written prompts into visual concepts. Supporters from more than 200 countries submitted over 180,000 unique designs, with 1.7 million votes cast to select a winner.

The winning entry came from a fan named Elliott. He said he created his design on a lunch break without expecting it to become an official kit. "The whole experience has been incredible," Elliott said. "It still feels surreal to know I've played a small part in the club's history."

Puma confirmed this is the first fan and AI-designed kit the club will wear in competitive matches. The manufacturer noted a previous collaboration in 2025 saw City players use the same AI tool to create a limited-edition goalkeeper jersey.

The new third shirt features vertical sky and navy blue stripes on a white base. Its aesthetic recalls the popular 2013-14 third kit from the club's previous partnership with Nike.

City's first team will debut the kit in upcoming matches, with the full schedule available on the fixtures list. The launch concludes Puma's kit offerings for the season, which also includes the traditional sky blue home shirt and a maroon away strip.
