Brazilian media outlet Khel Now has revealed a preliminary list of players expected to be selected. The list features two Manchester City players who are yet to make their senior international debuts.
Vitor Reis is a defender who joined Manchester City and spent last season on loan at Girona in La Liga. He has previous experience with Brazil's Under-17 national team. "The Manchester City defender, Vitor Reis, who spent a season in the Spanish top flight with Girona, is expected to get a senior team call after having represented the Brazil U-17 team previously," Vitor Reis said.
The other City player in contention is Allan. He completed a €37.5 million transfer from Palmeiras to Manchester City this summer. The young midfielder is still awaiting his competitive debut for the club at the Etihad Stadium. "Also, Allan, who completed a transfer from Palmeiras for €37.5m to Manchester City and is yet to make his debut at the Etihad, is also on the verge of his senior debut," Allan said.
Carlo Ancelotti is preparing his first squad since Brazil's disappointing exit from the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Seleção were knocked out in the Round of 16, losing 2-1 to Norway. Brazil's last appearance in a World Cup final was back in 2002, adding pressure for a fresh cycle.
